Crystal Downs New Home
A golfer’s retirement dream retreat. A peaceful private setting just a “putt away” from the greens and fairways of Crystal Downs Country Club. It is designed to be low-maintenance and extremely energy efficient. In addition, it has many luxurious amenities that add to its warmth and comfort.
Crystal Downs, located just a few minutes from Frankfort, Michigan, and adjacent to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, is frequently ranked among the top golf courses in the United States and the world. Designed by the legendary Alister MacKenzie, who also designed Augusta National, the course is known for its challenging layout and immaculate condition.
The club is located on a ridge overlooking Lake Michigan and Crystal Lake, offering spectacular views. The surrounding area is full of natural beauty, with forests, lakes, and rolling hills.
While the owners were downsizing for retirement, they wanted a home with easy traffic flow and room for relaxed entertaining. The result is a very cozy and welcoming place for friends, family, and guests, all while affording privacy in the down-sized yet feature-rich design.
Quartz countertops offer several advantages, including exceptional durability, a non-porous surface that resists staining and bacteria, low maintenance needs, and a consistent appearance available in various colors and patterns. Their resistance to heat, stains, and longevity also adds to their appeal.
LP SmartSide Board and Batten is a durable and versatile siding product known for its strength, thanks to the SmartGuard® process, which enhances its resistance to decay, termites, and impact damage. Available in various styles, textures, and colors, it’s lighter and easier to install than many alternatives, reducing labor costs and installation time. Additionally, these products come with a lengthy, limited warranty and are environmentally sustainable, made from wood and utilizing the entire log to reduce waste.
EZE-Breeze Screen Porch is known for its versatile and durable enclosure systems, featuring vinyl-glazed panels that adapt to different weather conditions. These panels can be easily cleaned, are resistant to impact, and provide protection against UV rays. The system is generally more affordable than traditional glass enclosures and can be customized to fit specific dimensions, effectively increasing your home’s living space. When closed, the panels also offer an extra layer of insulation for energy efficiency.
Ironwood decking is a highly durable decking material known for its hardness, which contributes to its longevity and resistance to scratches, making it ideal for high-traffic areas. Naturally resistant to decay, rot, and insects, including termites, it’s a low-maintenance choice that appeals to many homeowners. Aesthetically, Ironwood presents a rich color and attractive grain. Its fire rating is on par with steel and concrete, further enhancing its safety profile.
