Where We Build in Northern Michigan
Whether it’s a lot on Crystal Lake, a wooded parcel near Glen Arbor, or a stretch of Lake Michigan shoreline, every home we build starts with the land and the people who love it. We’ve been building in the lakes, hills, and small towns of Northern Michigan since 2004, from our office in Beulah.
Here’s a look at where we build.
Leelanau County
Leelanau is the peninsula north and west of Traverse City, between Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse Bay. We do a lot of work around Glen Arbor and Glen Lake, along with Cedar, Leland, Maple City, Suttons Bay, and Empire. Not every project calls for something new. On one Glen Lake cottage, the owners wanted its character kept just as it was, and the view of the Sleeping Bear Dunes did the rest.
Benzie County
Benzie County is home for us, from Frankfort and Crystal Lake to Beulah, Benzonia, Honor, Lake Ann, and Thompsonville. Building near the Lake Michigan dunes takes extra care. On this contemporary home on a critical dune in the Crystal Downs community, the dune rules shaped the design from the very start.
Traverse City and Points West
We build in Traverse City itself, like the home we call Rustic Elegance, and west toward Interlochen and its inland lakes.
Arcadia and Northern Manistee County
South along the shore, Arcadia sits between Arcadia Lake and the high bluffs of Lake Michigan. It’s beautiful country, and those bluffs mean careful planning from day one.
See the Homes We’ve Built
From lakefront cottages to contemporary homes on the Lake Michigan dunes, every project shows what careful planning and attention to detail look like when the home is finished.
Building on the Water
A waterfront lot comes with more to plan for: shoreline setbacks, dune rules, high water tables, and septic requirements. We work through all of it before construction starts. If you’d like to read up first, our guide to building a lake house is a good place to begin.
Building From Out of Town?
That’s common. Many of our clients build from downstate or out of state, and we keep them up to date at every stage, so they can make decisions from wherever they are. If that sounds like you, tell us about your project. We’d be glad to talk it through.
We’re proud members of the Grand Traverse Area Home Builders Association and the Better Business Bureau.
